Before the printing press, printmaking, which appeared in the late 14th century, disseminated religious images and motifs through woodcuts. This workshop is reviving this medieval reproduction technique.

Before Gutenberg invented the printing press, a technique for reproducing images already existed: the print. Appearing shortly before the end of the 14th century in Europe, it made it possible to disseminate religious images, decorative motifs, and even short texts, thanks to wood engraving (xylography). This workshop offers an opportunity to discover this ancient process as it was done in the Middle Ages.
