Alarion

Captain of the missile weapons

Nicodemus Alarion spent his entire youth in Scotland. He lost his mother to illness during his childhood. His father was Captain of the Guard and a loyal advisor to Lord McBram.

He spent most of his time in the company of his friend, who was none other than his Lord's son, young Alister. The two of them played at defending the widow and the orphan, each taking turns as "the nasty English invader," crossing the castle courtyard and its ramparts from one end to the other.

His father, Captain Alarion, said to him one day, "My son, my duty is to protect our Lord. I would like you, in turn, to watch over his son, young Alister."

His father was a brilliant swordsman, while he himself was rather passionate about archery, seeking out any opportunity to shoot a few arrows, hoping one day to join the army like his father.

When he was a young adult, his father was killed during a mission by an Englishman. In an attempt to ease the grief of this orphaned young man, Lord McBram gave him a bow. A magnificent yew warbow, worthy of a true archer.

Never having forgotten his father's words, and to thank Lord McBram for such a gift, he made him a promise to always watch over his son Alister. And in honor of his father, to one day become Captain Alarion and advisor to the future Lord Alister McBram.

Therefore, when Lord Alister left the lands of Scotland to go on a mission, Alarion was the first to follow him.
